By popular demand, South Broward High School's Next to Normal will be brought back to the stage – this time named one of the state's most outstanding theatrical productions by the Florida State Thespian Festival. The encore performances of the Tony-Award winning musical Next to Normal will be for one night only, Friday, March 2 at 7 p.m., and two matinee performances on Wednesday, March 7 and Friday, March 9 at 3 p.m. South Broward High School is located at 1901 N Federal Highway, Hollywood.

The South Broward High thespians will get the chance to showcase their outstanding theatrical production of Next to Normal on the big stage at the Florida State Thespian Festival in Tampa, March 14-17, when they compete with 7,500 Florida high school students for a chance to go to the International Thespian Festival at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in June.

Next to Normal thrusts itself upon an audience with its "in-your-face" story about a family's battle with mental illness. Tailored for the hip, modern Broadway crowd, the show addresses such issues as grief, loss, suicide and drug abuse. Do not miss the opportunity to experience this groundbreaking musical performance while helping the students to take their award-winning production to the State Thespian Festival.

Advanced tickets for the evening show only are available online at (www.SBHSdrama.com) for $10 or $15 at the door. For information on tickets for the matinee performances, contact Carol Spears (carol.spears@browardschools.com) or call 754-323-1875 or 954-600-6789.
