OAKLAND PARK, FL -- This holiday season, 2-1-1 Broward has been selected as a charity beneficiary of Publix Super Markets Miami Division’s annual Food For All fundraiser. The program will appear in all Miami Division stores through December 24, 2012.
The Food For All campaign is a point-of-purchase program that features burgundy and gold boards stocked with $1, $3 and $5 donation coupons displayed at checkout stands. Customers donate by selecting a coupon and handing it to the cashier for the UPC to be scanned. Donation amounts are then added to the customer’s total bill, and are tax deductible.
“We are grateful to be one of the non-profits selected to benefit from Publix Miami Division’s Food For All program,” said Tracy Schuldiner, Director of Events & Corporate Relations for 2-1-1 Broward. “We’d like to give our sincere thanks to Publix and their customers for their generosity during this time of need.”
During their 2011 Food For All holiday program, the Publix Miami Division and their customers raised nearly $1.8 million, benefiting over 70 South Florida non-profit agencies. Since 1995, over $12 million has been raised.
