FT. LAUDERDALE, FL  – Miami HEAT legend, Alonzo Mourning, hosted a fabulous VIP Dinner and Cocktail Party at Beauty & The Feast Bar|Kitchen located in The Atlantic Hotel & Spa in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday, February 26th.  Over 100 guests joined Alonzo and Tracy Mourning at the event which raised over $35,000 for the Mourning Family Foundation, a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of children and families in the South Florida community through advocacy, education and enrichment services.

Highlights of the evening included a warm welcome speech by Steven Dapuzzo of Society 8 Hospitality Group which operates Beauty & The Feast Bar|Kitchen followed by Alonzo and Tracy Mourning speaking about the Mourning Family Foundation and all the great work they do in the community.  Kavita Channe, sports correspondent for the Miami Heat Podcast and FOX Sports sideline reporter emceed the spectacular live auction which included a two-night Atlantis Paradise Island vacation; two premium lower level tickets to a Miami HEAT game plus dinner with Alonzo Mourning and five passes to the 17th Annual Miami Heat Family Festival; Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh autographed jerseys and an MGM Las Vegas Hotel Weekend Package which included a round of golf for two at the legendary Shadow Creek Golf Course.   The event also featured a silent auction and live entertainment by eclectic violinist, Monty Bloom.
 
Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed beautiful oceanfront views, culinary cocktails and a flavorful array of small plates, entrees, and family-style feast plates.  Executive Chef Jeff Vincent turned heads with his elaborate display of a whole roasted pig, quite fitting for a feast.   Beauty & The Feast Bar|Kitchen will be officially opening in mid to late March with a globally inspired American menu.  From Pizza to Paella, Burgers to Bone-In Steaks and craft beers to culinary cocktails, Beauty & The Feast will cater to all tastes.

About Mourning Family Foundation
Mourning Family Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Alonzo and Tracy Mourning, provides a multitude of opportunities to enhance the lives of children and families in the South Florida community through advocacy, education and enrichment services. Presently, the Mourning Family Foundation supports over a thousand youth and families through the Overtown Youth Center and Honey Shine programs.
