FORT LAUDERDALE, FL -- The 8th Annual Angel PAWS Luncheon & Fashion Show, to benefit the Humane Society of Broward County, made a big splash on January 22 at the Coral Ridge Country Club. Chairperson Susan Smith was delighted with both the turnout of support and the funds raised -- $67,000 to support the shelter’s programs and services.
Neiman Marcus Fort Lauderdale provided the fabulous fashions for the informal fashion show, which was emcee’d by animal advocate Jacey Birch of WPLG Local 10. A silent auction featured items including vintage designer handbags, shoes and accessories. A prize drawing was held for the chance to win a Custom Pink Diamond Paw Print Pendant donated by Gem Couture, Inc; designs by Melody, and a variety of other terrific items. The Grand Prize winner was a very happy, Penny England. Neiman Marcus Fort Lauderdale also had a mini boutique set up where guests could purchase the fashions they saw in the fashion show.
New this year to the Angel PAWS Show was the opportunity for guests to purchase keys for the chance to unlock special display cases – which, delightfully, were located at Neiman Marcus Fort Lauderdale! These display cases included prizes such as: a $500 Neiman Marcus Fort Lauderdale Shopping Spree, a Chanel Beauty Basket with a VIP Master Class for 4 with Chanel Experts and champagne, a NEST luxury home fragrance basket, an Escada Evening Clutch, Lunch for 4 at the Little Mermaid Restaurant at Neiman Marcus Fort Lauderdale, a Men's Hugo Boss Shirt and Tie and a stunning blackened silver bracelet with imperial jasper from Pamela Huizenga Jewelry.
Mobile adoptions were held on site, and three gorgeous puppies found their forever homes! Puppies also joined the models in the finale walk during the fashion show. Music was provided by Sarz Entertainment & Michael Sarysz.
