Fort Lauderdale, FL – (February 1, 2012) – During the month of February, Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. is partnering with local businesses and to increase public awareness about the importance of keeping families safe from domestic violence through the 2012 Love Campaign.
The Love Campaign encourages local business to stand behind an important cause, by offering special discounts, promotions, and the opportunity to support Women In Distress at retail locations. The goal of the campaign is to raise funds to provide critical services to women, children and men affected by domestic violence.
By participating in The Love Campaign, each business is doing its part in showing the public that they can help “create a world where love doesn’t hurt.”
Throughout the month of February, the following businesses will be collecting donations for Women In Distress through a donation box:

During February, the following businesses will host events to benefit Women In Distress:
February 7, The Elite Group Hair & Color Studio will collect donations during their Botox event at the salon located at 4134 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308
February 12- 13, Scriage Spa and Salon will be hosting a free dinner with raffle at their location in Parkland (7635 N. State Road 7, Parkland, FL 33067) sponsored by Sparkle of Life.
· February 12-18, Allied Kitchen & Bath (616 West Oakland Park Blvd, Ft Lauderdale, FL 33311) will donate 10% of from the purchase of any Swarovski Crystal bejeweled sink drain cover. Styles range from $150-$450. Any purchases made on February 14th will receive an extra special discount!
· February 16, California Pizza Kitchen will donate 20% of sales made with a printed flyer (can be found at http://www.womenindistress.org//love_campaign.html) at Fort Lauderdale (2301 North Federal Highway Fort Lauderdale, FL 33305) and Pembroke Lakes Mall (11401 Pines Blvd # 100, Pembroke Pines, FL 33026) locations.
